How To Resurrect Your Hair In 20 Minutes

Right, we all know that I've put my poor hair through a lot of colouring... and bleaching. I'm very very lucky that I have thick hair, because I never would've got away with being a walking rainbow otherwise. My hair was in definite need of some extra love and attention.

I was on my way to purchase my usual Aussie trio - Colour Matte and 3 Minute Miracle (serious, it's a miracle worker) and I noticed the Bleach London Reincarnation Mask. Why not, eh?

A Hidden Gem: Jaspers Tea Room, Llandaff

It was my birthday and I wanted cake. Plain and simple. Not plain and simple cake, though. My wonderful friends surprised me with a car full of balloons and a face full of silly string. Lucky I love them, right?

I've wanted to go for Afternoon Tea for ages, and I thought the celebration of me was the perfect excuse. We were going to use Groupon as there were loads of deals on there but, problem - there are three of us and the offers were for two or four people - sad times. Instead we just got in the car (albeit, slotting ourselves around balloons, party hats & presents) and drove around Cardiff until we found somewhere.

A Hidden Gem: Irie Shack, Cardiff

Adventures, cardiff, caribbean, food, irie shack

For a Sunday treat, we were expecting to go to go to one of my favourite Mexican restaurants, Amigos. Turn up and - it's closed! All dressed up, hungry and nowhere to go.

Luckily my friend had earlier suggested to me a Caribbean place that was close by. Perfect opportunity to try it out, right? It's called the Irie Shack. I must say I've driven past it before and not even noticed it. It's one of those little gems. Exactly the same sort of gem as Amigos in fact.

A Pale Girls Guides To Fake Tanning

Fake Tan, beauty, pale, pale skin, tan, how to, guide,

10 Tips For a Better Fake Tan

Living with my pale skin, for ya know, all my life, I've become somewhat of an ambassador for fake tan.

It started to become big when I was hitting my teens, so I grew with it, and oh was I happy it was invented. Knowing how bad it is for me and my ivory skin to even sit in the sun, I never even contemplated it and I just stayed away. I don't see the point in putting my skin through that. Instead I became slightly addicted to fake tan (I'm currently in fake-tan rehab).

Over my many years of using the stuff, and regrettably, probably, most definitely over using it, I've made all the mistakes you can probably make. So, you delightful bunch, I'm kind enough to share them with you, so you don't have to experience them.

Leg Hair - The Bane Of My Life

When I used to shave my legs, they'd come up baby smooth and I'd be feeling them all night. This fastly wore off (and I think the novelty did, too). I can't think of the last time I shaved my legs and was happy with the results.

For some reason or another, I can never get them as smooth as they used to be. I've questioned whether this has something to do with the pill that I was taking, but no matter what I use it just doesn't seem to get the same effect as it used to.

Seeing shiny legs on magazines or on the TV makes me long for what my legs once were.

I used to use the Soleil Shavers which I felt lasted a long time and were easy to use - as well as being decently priced. They'd get them okay, but they'd still  sometimes feel a little bumpy afterwards.

I also explored (explored being the key word here) the option of waxing. I'm not sure if I would be able to handle the pain. You see, I'm a little bit of a wimp. When I've had my eyebrows waxed I respond as if I'm going through early labour pains and lets be fair there isn't much hair nor skin there to even wax, never mind two whole legs worth.

Now, other than that - there's a few other options. Laser hair removal, epilating, or au naturel.

Would you consider any of these options?

I always panic and think, what if the next crazy fashion trend I'll need my leg hair? I don't think I'm ready to let go of it for eternity. Although, could you imagine the constant leg shiny thing that I mentioned earlier? You would be a walking magazine cover (well from the thigh down) all day, every day.
